RULES

The rules for Frontball are quite simple.  You can download them from this page.

The official dimensions for the playing court are provided in the rules, but... everyone is free to adapt them to the available wall.  It’s therefore easy to play Frontball on any wall.

A wall, flat ground, a piece of chalk and you’ve got a frontball court!

 

The official dimensions must be  complied with for an official competition.

3000 YEARS AGO

The Mayans came face to face during jousts in which the winning team was decapitated as a sacrifice to the Gods.  The blood of the winners was used to fertilize the soil...

1000 YEARS AGO

The ball-and-court game of Jeu de Paume began in France from which all the  current pelota rules originate.  This practice still exists today, mainly in the South of France, with the game of Basque Pelota.

14th CENTURY

The traditional sport of Gaelic handball began in Scotland and Ireland.

Irish immigrants brought handball to the United States.
